Alliance is the result of a twelve year effort spent at ASIM department of LIP6 laboratory of the Pierre et Marie Curie University (Paris VI, France). IRSIM Switch level simulator Description: From the Open Circuit Design website: "IRSIM is a tool for simulating digital circuits. It is a 'switch-level' simulator; that is, it treats transistors as ideal switches. Extracted capacitance and lumped resistance values are used to make the switch a little bit more realistic than the ideal, using the RC time constants to predict the relative timing of events. "
WinSpice Spice Simulator Description: The WinSpice site states: "WinSpice is a port of Spice3F4 to Win32 systems. WinSpice is ported to run in a window as a native 32-bit application. It can generate waveform plots to individual floating windows and contains a powerful scripting language (see the example files included with the executable)."
SwitcherCAD III (AKA LTSPICE) Spice Simulator Description: Offered by Linear Technology Inc. as an incentive to utilize their devices (SwitcherCAD includes integrated LT models). Their website states: "SwitcherCAD III is a high performance Spice III simulator, schematic capture and waveform viewer with enhancements and models for easing the simulation of switching regulators."
XSpice Spice Simulator Description: XSpice was develoepd at Georgia Tech University. This package is completely open source.
SpiceOpus Spice Simulator Description: A Spice simulator with built-in optimization utilities. It is derived from the Georgia Tech Research Institutes XSpice as well as the Berkeley simulator.
5Spice Spice Simulator Description: This commercial product can be used free for non-commercial use. The 5Spice website describes itself as follows:

"5Spice is a new graphical user interface that wraps around a traditional Spice simulation engine, presenting a single application to the user. It offers easy to use analog circuit simulation for the typical circuit designer.

5Spice provides Spice specific schematic entry, the ability to define and save an unlimited number of analyses, integrated graphing of simulation results plus easy inclusion of Spice/PSpice subcircuits from a user expandable library. The program's self-documentation capability allows designers to rapidly return to their work after months off. 5Spice provides the analysis capabilities needed by experienced circuit designers while remaining easy to use - a big step up from student oriented Spice programs. The focus is on analog circuit analysis and circuit design at the component level. Student level MOSFET IC design is also supported but not compatible with HSpice model libraries."

MacSpice Spice Simulator Description: This is a proprietary Spice simulator for Apple MacIntosh computers.
SEQUEL Simulator Description: SEQUEL (Solver for circuit EQuations with User-defined ELements) developed at IIT Bombay. The web site notes "The circuit simulator SEQUEL is at a fairly advanced stage and has been used for several applications such as Power Electronics, Power Systems, electronic circuits, biomedical problems, switched-capacitor circuits, MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical Systems) etc."
Gnucap Circuit Simulator Description: GNU Circuit Analysis Package. This is a general purpose circuit simulator capable of nonlinear DC and transient analysis, fourier analysis and AC analysis.
